About the role
ACREST is recruiting an Administration Officer to manage the practical administrative systems that keep programme operations moving. The role will coordinate office needs, routine suppliers, travel and scheduling support, facilities and internal documentation, with occasional travel between programme locations.
The role is based in Cameroon and requires regular travel to programme implementation and distribution areas depending on operational needs.
About ACREST
ACREST is a Cameroonian non-governmental organisation developing practical, locally grounded solutions that improve livelihoods, strengthen communities and support sustainable development. ACREST is expanding a large-scale clean cooking programme focused on improving access to efficient cooking solutions for households and communities across the West, Littoral and South-West regions of Cameroon. The programme combines stove distribution, community engagement, monitoring, technical operations and the progressive development of local production capacity. ACREST is also developing CleanTechCameroon SARL, its subsidiary dedicated to local clean-technology production and related industrial activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage office administration, supplies and routine service providers.
- Coordinate travel bookings, accommodation and programme travel arrangements.
- Maintain administrative calendars, records and recurring reporting schedules.
- Support meeting logistics and internal events.
- Coordinate facilities, office maintenance and basic asset records.
- Support vendor-contract administration and follow up routine service issues.
- Assist programme and management teams with administrative documentation.
- Coordinate administrative needs across programme locations.
- Support vehicle/fleet administration where required in coordination with transport staff.
- Travel to programme sites when administrative support is required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in administration, management, logistics or a related field.
- Two to five years of relevant administrative experience.
- Strong organisation, follow-up and document-management skills.
- Good command of common office tools, email and spreadsheets.
- Ability to coordinate several requests and deadlines at once.
- Professional proficiency in English or French; bilingual capability is preferred.
- Willingness to travel between programme locations when required.
- Right to work in Cameroon.
Specific requirements
- Experience supporting travel, facilities, vendors or multi-site administration is an advantage.
- The role requires reliability, discretion and strong follow-through.
