About the role
ACREST is recruiting two Communications & Program Assistants to provide practical administrative, communications and field support. These are entry-level to early-career positions for organised candidates who want to build experience in a growing national programme.
The role is based in Cameroon and requires regular travel to programme implementation and distribution areas depending on operational needs.
About ACREST
ACREST is a Cameroonian non-governmental organisation developing practical, locally grounded solutions that improve livelihoods, strengthen communities and support sustainable development. ACREST is expanding a large-scale clean cooking programme focused on improving access to efficient cooking solutions for households and communities across the West, Littoral and South-West regions of Cameroon. The programme combines stove distribution, community engagement, monitoring, technical operations and the progressive development of local production capacity. ACREST is also developing CleanTechCameroon SARL, its subsidiary dedicated to local clean-technology production and related industrial activities.
Responsibilities
- Support scheduling, meeting preparation and programme coordination.
- Assist with social media posting, content preparation and media archiving.
- Support field logistics, event preparation and community activities.
- Organise photos, videos, documents and communications files.
- Assist with basic translations between English and French where capable.
- Prepare simple activity notes, attendance lists and follow-up records.
- Support communications and programme officers with day-to-day tasks.
- Maintain organised digital and physical files.
- Assist with travel and field coordination as assigned.
Requirements
- Bac+2/Bac+3, HND, BTS, Licence/Bachelor or equivalent relevant training in communications, administration, project support, social sciences or a related field.
- Zero to three years of professional experience; strong recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Good organisation and attention to detail.
- Comfort with common office tools and social media platforms.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional proficiency in English or French; bilingual capability is an advantage.
- Willingness to support field activities and travel when required.
- Right to work in Cameroon.
Specific requirements
- Two positions are available.
- Interest in communications, community engagement or programme operations is important.
- Basic content creation, photography or video skills are an advantage.
